Malcolm Appleby is a renowned metal engraver that is celebrated for his gorgeous designs, inspired by the natural beauty of Scotland. His pieces have been displayed in art galleries around the world, and have raised thousands of pounds for the charity Children 1st.

Malcolm Appleby Jewellery

Raised in London, Malcolm Appleby began his artistic training at the Central School of Art before attending the Sir John Cass school of art and the Royal College of Art in London and perfecting his craft. By the end of the 60s, he was a Littledale scholar at the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, an organisation dating all the way back to the 12th century.

While at school in England, he visited Aberdeenshire and fell in love with the landscape. Once his workshop was set up, he soon began showcasing his jewellery here at Taylor's, and the rest is history. While he now operates from his atelier in Grandtully Perthshire, the jewellery he designs still represents the great outdoors all over Scotland.

His commissions include a sculptural tablepiece for Bute House, a raven gun for the Royal armouries and a silver cup for the London Assay Office's 500th anniversary. While Malcolm Appleby's pieces are a well-known fixture across the world, we make it possible to bring them home.

We have an ever-changing selection of bangles, earrings, cufflinks, and pendants, all available to buy in-store and online. These would make a beautiful gift for someone special. Each piece is made with Stirling Silver and Edinburgh Silver hallmarked. Some of the pieces also have accents of 18ct Gold.
